Cimzia
Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD. It causes
inflammation of the digestive tract.
Crohn's disease usually occurs in the small intestine (the ileum) and
the large intestine (the colon),
but it can happen anywhere in the digestive tract.
Typical Crohn's disease symptoms include frequent diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, and sometimes rectal bleeding.
In clinical trials, CIMZIA was shown to reduce or help stop many moderate to severe Crohn's symptoms, such as stomach pain and diarrhea, and to improve general well-being within a few short weeks in some patients.
